Russian game,bad gameplay.. Just beautiful. This is as old school as it gets. Talking about Hexen, Heretic, Wolfenstein3D and of course, the beginning of Serious Sam. No ... but it's a fun substitue worth the couple $$ I spent on it during a Steam sale. Best thing: The weapons are top-notch, with various earned options on each. Everything else is ... OK.. totaly worth 1 bucki was surprised what im getting for 50 cent here in the salei had worser games for 60 xDbut the first part (Putrefaction1) sucks hands ofi buyed it and i could refund it but i keep it to support this guyim sure we will see much better things from him in the future. I got this on sale for 0.49 it was worth it. This cheap indie game uses simple but sufficient graphics. It lacks common fps options like sprint, reload, duck and scoped alternative fire. The game starts pretty good with smooth and satisfying combat. After the first levels the bad things kick in with platform sections, bullet sponge enemies and difficult tedious boss fights. The game play becomes a chore and no fun at all. I gave up at the ridiculous difficult end boss. Pity since the beginning was quite promising.4/10. It's very cheap so you can take a swing at it.. Here's a quick and dirty review.The game does have it's issues - feel free to look at the pictures I uploaded. I managed to jump out of the map on more than one occasion. Many of the inside levels are so dark you can't see much at all, and I even managed to fall through a solid floor several times (deliberately in the end) to the platform below. You can also see between meshes and a lot of the internal levels are brown with brown enemies. Meaning those people, like me, who are colour blind will struggle with parts of the game.Some of the English spoken dialog from the alien skull is grammatically incorrect or just plain wrong, but it's easy enough to look past.Aside from that, it's a reasonable game. It claims to be an old school shooter, and in that respect, I'd have to agree. Where the levels are bright, the game play is mostly enjoyable.Pick it up on special during a sale. It's worth a play through once.. Pure love! The nazi level is one of the coolest i have ever played.The Dev is also a very nice person who cares for the players.. i bought this game for what it is. an unreal engine game, that's dirt cheap. and i was aware of the possibility that there might be serious optimization issiues, and waiting a choppy experience and this was made by a one guy who probably worked his socks off because as far as i understand from what i'm reading he still listens to the community and tries to optimize the game and such... and i wanted to like this game; i really wanted to say, yes, this is a good game that needs just "a little bit" of tweaking. but no man. this game is almost unplayable at this stage. and i don't think things will improve since this has been here for a year now. the game is very poorly optimized and even at the worst graphic settings and in a windowed mode it was choppy and jittery and jumpy. and i appreciate the developer for the serious sam-painkiller style of gameplay and bothering to write a story and even do some voice acting done for this but the game is nearly unplayable at this stage. so i cannot recommend it. sorry.
